This is Fashion Week in New York City. Designers are unveiling their fall 2011 collections. You can view video clips of the runway shows that have already taken place as well as view the schedule for upcoming live streams of designer shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the event’s official website. From what I’ve seen so far during Fashion Week, you can expect colors like red and purple to be prevalent next fall. Designers are also showing lots of garments in white, too. I went on the Jones New York site this morning because the label is having a coat sale for the next 24 hours or so. The Jones New York Jacket Wool Car Coat (White) at the top of this post is my Fashion Over 50: Pick of the Day. It is currently reduced from $340 to $79.99 at checkout. There's also a Three-quarter Double-breasted wool trench coat in berry on the Jones site, reduced from $340 to $79.99. (Click on the Jones "Shop Now" button at the bottom of this post.) Personally, I’ve got my eye on spring fashions right now. But if you know you’re going to need a new wool coat next fall, you might want to take advantage of these coats or the one below. They are drastically reduced and should be right in fashion next fall.
