Spring Sales are in the Air!

It's been 11 days since my last post. I wish I could say I've been on a tropical island without Internet service, basking in the sun and drinking very tall tropical cocktails. But, no, that's not it. Google, my blog's host, decide without so much as a "by your leave" (I've always wanted to use that expression) to shut down my blog. No warning, no explanation. Eleven days ago, I went online and "poof," my blog was gone. Ouch! It took 11 days of back-and-forth emails to convince the Google machine that my little fashion blog for women over 50 had no sinister motives. It was all rather disheartening, to put it mildly. But I'm back now and trying to put the whole unpleasant experience behind me.

One thing that always cheers me up is a good sale. Now that I'm up and running again, I see there are all sorts of spring sales going on. Anne Klein Crop Fly- Away Skirt Dress Crop Fly- Away Skirt Dress (Brown) (not sure why it says "brown," when it's clearly "poppy") at the top of this post, for instance, is normally $118. However, through March 27th, it's available for 30% off. I love this dress because of its bright poppy color and A-line styling--very flattering for over 50 women.

DREAMY CASHMERE
The Pure Collection, which specializes in cashmere garments, has a nice assortment of fashions up to 70% off. This Longline V-Neck Cashmere Cardigan is reduced from $198 to $158. It's available in heather gray as well as several other colors. Click on the photo for details. A long thin sweater or two like this one is a must-have for me in April and May. In fact, I love the whole outfit--the white-collared shirt, the gray sweater and the khaki pants. It's one of those great "no brainer" outfits when I'm in a hurry and want to look good without a bit of fuss.

I went to the Bealls, an online department store, because it is advertising its "lowest prices" of the season. I found this Alfred Dunner� Cosmopolitan Floral Skirt marked down from $46 to $23. I saw it in all petite and women sizes.
