Fall Suit News: The Three-Quarter Sleeves!
Quick! What fashion trends are the most flattering for women over 50? Off the top of my head, I would say: scarves, longer hemlines and 3/4 sleeves. I've enjoyed wearing long skirts this summer and can't wait to start wrapping up in scarves again this fall. But what's got me really excited are the fall suit jackets with 3/4 sleeves. I've worn suits all my professional life, but I've always felt they were a little stuffy, a little too masculine for my taste. And now, post 50, the last thing I want is to wear anything that feels stuffy or masculine! I'm loving the suit jackets with 3/4 sleeves because they're professional, but also feminine. Take a peek at the Today show video (above) which features several "looks" for women over 50. The video starts out with an 11-second advertisement, then some sensible styling tips, and followed by a fashion show of over 50 women. It's one of the better ones I've seen.
